Players are excited about the news that RSI is going to launch sports betting in Michigan. The service provider has a partnership deal to launch both online and retail sports wagering with the Little River Casino Resort.

According to the contract, RSI will be the service provider for the retail sportsbook within the casino. The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians plans to open the sports wagering facility in the third quarter of 2020.

Michigan launched retail sports betting in March. However, the coronavirus disrupted all sporting events across the globe. Thus, sports betting in the state was not making money as initially projected by its supporters.

However, they need to wait until Michigan’s gambling law allows them to do so. Last month, the State’s Gaming Control Board started the process of accepting applications for gaming supplier licenses. Some companies that applied for permits include betting software suppliers.

Little River Casino Resort told pay per head sportsbook reporters that they picked Rush Street Interactive as the provider for their sportsbooks because of its excellent track record. RSI will supply sportsbook software for the casino’s locations in New York, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.

Based on bookie pay per head reports, RSI managed to allow land-based casinos to launch both retail and online sportsbooks with ease. Their sports betting solutions enable casinos to have a sportsbook in a short period.

The deal came after the Michigan Gaming Control Board approved the reopening guidelines for three casinos in Detroit. The regulator limits each casino to 15 percent of its capacity. Also, it banned smoking within the casino floors.

However, the regulator didn’t provide a date for the reopening. Casinos have been closed due to the pandemic since March 16.
